ELK RIVER, MN (June 19, 2025) – The 2025 USA Shooting 300m Rifle National Championships concluded on a high note, with Bradley Yliniemi capturing gold in three events and earning a spot at the 2025 International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Championships alongside Tim Sherry and Martin Gunderson.
Yliniemi, from Minnesota, earned gold medals in 300m Free Rifle, 300m Standard Rifle and 300m Prone Rifle. He achieved the minimum qualifications scores (MQS) in all three events and the opportunity to represent the U.S. at the ISSF World Championships this November in Cairo, Egypt.
The national championship and selection match took place May 21–25 at the Minneapolis Rifle Club’s 300-Meter Range in Elk River, Minnesota. This marked the ninth year the club has hosted the 300m National Championships. In years when the World Championships are held, the event also serves as a qualifier for the U.S. 300m World Championship Team.
Martin Gunderson, of Minnesota, won the silver medal in 300m Prone Rifle and shot the MQS qualifying himself for the World Championships.
Another selection criterion for the 2025 World Championship team was a top eight finish at the 2023 World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan. Tim Sherry, of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, met that mark in 300m Free Rifle, Standard Rifle, and Prone Rifle—securing his qualification for Cairo.
Based on the results and the selection criteria, the following qualify for entry into the 2025 World Championships for the following events:
